Looking across the street from about 280 feet into the yard.
Looking across the street from about 150 feet into the yard.
Neighbors just to the south of me. Yeah, I am thinking evergreen trees along that property line... This is the home of Eric and Tabatha with kids named Preston, Tea (?), and Trinity... The log house just past them is Bob and Linda, not visible in this pic. I will have to get pic of their place as it is COOL.
House directly to the north. Again evergreens seem likely. Neighbor's name is Joe... hmmmm. Wife is Denise. Two kids, can't recall names, and an old Irish Setter named Brittany who sits on the lawn with a stuffed animal and just stares out at the road all day.
Barns for farmhouse two lots north. This is Joe's dad Bob. He has all sorts of fun toys in the barns including a full wood working shop.
Farmhouse two lots north (Bob's place).
View from north side entrance.
Utility room to the east. Black and white tile will be going. Not sure on the paint color either.
Half bath off utility room
View from utility room to kitchen and dining room on west side of house. Tons of cupboard space, deep cupboards.
Notice the cool mini aquarium with sand and shells in it... I love that stuff. Good sign to me that it was sitting there. Also note the wine rack... pretty cool huh?
Living room
Dark Brown paint may be going, may be too dark for my taste as dark colors seem to shrink rooms, I am thinking about more something in the tan or grey or periwinkle type range. Though as I spend more time in that room, it may be large enough to pull it off and as I think about it, it could help with the front projector by cutting down on light reflection.
Speakers will need to be moved, I have had some Bose Acoustimass stuff in storage now for about 7-8 years, will be good to get them out and finish out the home theatre. Using Bose 901's for music though.
Carpet stays for now. Its thicker than I normally prefer due to ease of vacuuming but we will see how it goes. I layed down on it and was like... ooh, this is really nice.
This wall on the right has a chimney behind it so it will become a fireplace with stone work mantel. The TV was there for the previous owners.
No, those aren't orbs in the pic, my old camera has a dirty lense. :)
Far wall is the wall that gets the fireplace.
This is a den/library near front door. Could easily become a bedroom if the need arises.
Look back to the north entrance and the basement. Love how much room is around the basement door so you can actually take say a pool table down there without hurting anything.
Hallway at south end of house leading to Master Bedroom, Bedroom, and bath. Bed was neighbor's bed that previous home owner borrowed for last couple of nights in the house.
Bedroom, orange paint. Will eventually be redone unless someone decides to sleep there that likes the Detroit Tigers or something.
Bathroom.

This paint may stay initially, it is ok but I would like something a little more "full" / "rich" looking. Hard to explain but likely darker or more fancy paint job. Needs floor trim eventually too.

The shower is interesting, I designed a shower like this for my old house but I didn't have the room to pull it off. I was quite shocked to see the shower I designed (I had different tile ideas though with a lot of earthy green) in this house. It plays right in with many of the other "small things" that I keep running into with the house that make it seem "right" for where I am supposed to be right now. Makes me a little slow in changing things because maybe I don't understand or realize why things are the way they are in some cases and that they are the way they should be and I shouldn't muck with it. Make sense?

This is the backyard going back to about 600 or so feet into the property
This is all coming out. I don't have time for horses unfortunately and don't forsee that being the case for years so this space will be better utilized as a place to put a car lift, welding kit, torches, and hot rods / ATVs / and dirt bikes. I could absolutely see horses in the future though when I have more spare time or can afford a full time keeper for them or even marry someone who wants them and has time for them, they are beautiful creatures.
